EWP Gift Guide: Breakfast at Tiffany's

Every year when I'm asked what to get a special woman in a man's life, I really just want to reply "Something from Tiffany's." But I feel rather unoriginal, and I may be pushing some people's budgets. So this year I thought I'd wait until well into the gift-giving guide before I went with my very favoritest gift - the kind that comes in a little blue box.

Because, honestly, is there any present that's better? Every girl is programmed to swoon a little inside just upon seeing the blue box with the little white ribbon. There's nothing like it.

Just one tip for what is on the inside of that box - stay away from hearts. Blech. Heart jewelry is so very middle school and tacky. It was the first lesson I gave Mr. EWP in jewelry buying. Seriously. Ask him what I think about jewelry and he'll automatically say "no hearts."

Oh and none of those chain bracelets with the tag on them. A) they're the cheapest thing at Tiffanys and hence why everyone has them. B) they're so very college sorority girl. C) If you need a tag on your bracelet letting people know it's from Tiffany's, then you're not classy enough for Tiffany's.

Happy shopping! Excuse me while I go pretend I'm Audrey Hepburn.

Met Gala 2010: Juilliana Margulies

JM in a Narciso Rodriguez gown and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Good ol' Juilianna bored me in black during awards season, and she's doing it again at the Met Gala. Excuse me while I go take a caffeine break so I don't fall asleep. snoooze.

EWP Gift Guide - Tiffany's Snowflake Earrings

Maybe it's because I have a December birthday, but I am a total sucker for snowflake jewelry. When done small and tastefully, it's a nice (yet still classy) way to celebrate the season. So imagine my utter delight when I saw these darling silver snowflake earrings from Tiffany's. *sigh* *swoon* I love 'em. And thanks to a certain Mr. EWP who can take a hint, they are currently sitting on my earlobes, just where they should be.

I'm sure there's a certain someone in your life who would also love these delightfully cute, delicate, and winter-y earrings.

On the Eighteenth Day of December...

As a fashion snob I have quite a few pet peeves when it comes to people's ensembles (chunky heels, I'm talking to you!) But the full list of fashion don'ts is for another day. Today I'm limiting my rant to those awful Tiffany's dog chain bracelets. There is nothing attractive about having a dog collar-looking item on your wrist. And the only point to wearing such an item is to show off it's from Tiffanys. But there really is no point in going designer if it doesn't look nice. EWP Rule #237: Even designer things can look bad and just because it's DvF or Tiffanys or what have you doesn't mean it's right for you. EWP Rule #194: Don't buy things everyone else is wearing because that's boring, try something new.

If you are dying for a Tiffany's bracelet, might I suggest something a little less 19 year old sorority girl and a little more grown up. Why not try this unique and stylish cuff instead?
