Summer is one of my favorite seasons. The sun is always out, you can relax by your pool, there are all sorts of fairs and festivals. People are just generally happier in the summer. Or maybe that's just a Chicago thing. All the people frozen solid from the long winter get a chance to thaw and wear less than 5 layers of clothing for at least three months. It is indeed a time to rejoice.
But, sadly, as August comes to a close and all the storefronts are sporting attire in oranges and grays, it is almost time to bid adieu to summer.
