Narciso Rodriguez for eBay???

Starting February 15th, designer Narciso Rodriguez will be opening a boutique on the auction website eBay. The shop will consist of 8 pieces, mostly dresses, that will retail between $75-$350. The countdown/site can be found here.

Rodriguez says of his new collaboration "For me it’s always been about dressing many women of all ages, all types, all sizes, and this special collection on eBay is a unique opportunity to reach a broad global audience."

I've seen the looks, below are 2, and they are pretty uninspired and remind me of American Apparel. I don't think I'll be shelling out $75 for any of them, and most definitely not $350.

What do you think?

Adventures in Ebay: Update

Well, my first two auctions are officially over and both my bags have been purchased. Each bag received 1 bid. So a success in that I made some money on my bags, but I have learned that I totally under priced them. I was instructed by a couple people to start with really low prices to create interest and start bidding wars, but if people just wait it out and only one person bids.... that doesn't really help me out. But this was a learning experience and one of my buyers has already paid me, making me $20 richer than I was a few a hours ago. Not so bad. Now what else can I clean out of my closet....

Adventures in Ebay

As you may have guessed by now, I shop a lot. But no closet in the world has been built that could hold all my purchases, and, frankly, I don't really want to keep things that long. So there is quite a bit of turnover in my closet. I usually have a clean out once a month.

Usually I take my bags of cleaned out stuff, in good shape as they've mostly not really been worn, to Goodwill. And while I don't really care about recouping anything for my Banana Republic items, this last cleanout, however, there were some actual designer items. I thought to myself, maybe I can actually get some money for these. Which led me to my first foray into ebaying. It wasn't that hard to post my first 2 ebay items ever, but this whole waiting for bids thing is definitely tough.

So if anyone's looking for a couple Kate Spade bags, head on over to ebay and let the bidding begin!
