I am not a "State of the Union" watcher. It's not that I don't care about the state of our union, I mostly would just prefer to get it in a cliffnotes format without the "we're the best country ever" hullabaloo. I just want the news straight. And while I was extremely thrilled by Pres. Obama's message about repealing the patently ridiculous and blatantly discriminatory "don't ask, don't tell" policy for gays in the military, there was really only one thing on my mind this morning: What was Michelle wearing?
The answer: A tasteful aubergine dress with three-quarter-length sleeves from designer Isaac Mizrahi. But not from his Target collection, thank God; the SOTU is not the time to break out the Target apparel, we want the country to know that we're doing well enough to buy from actual stores. Well done, Michelle. And while your arms are hot, I'm glad you kept them covered for this event. It
