Once upon a time, I owned a pair of Chanel earrings. I loved them so. They were small, understated, and cute. And Chanel, which clearly made me love them more. Then, one day, one earring went missing. I searched and searched, but to no avail. The earring was gone. I thought about making a claim on my renter's insurance, these were pricey earrings, but felt silly. So the sad lonely earring sits in my jewelry case, hoping one day her mate will return. I fear she will be waiting forever.
So my resolution is to, one day this year, march myself back into that Chanel on Michigan Ave, break out my credit card, and buy myself something new. I'm thinking something bigger this time, less lose-able. Maybe a bag?
UPDATE -
So I did what my resolution said, I reacquainted myself with Chanel. And I found their bags too gaudy, too "look it says Chanel REALLY big on the bag." There were large chains on every bag. It was very not me. So I marched myself to Neimans and took a look around. And then I saw this:

Simple, understated. Very large. And a cute color in person. I think this might be the one....
