After our little jaunt in Granada, we met back up with Emily and Justin plus our new traveling additions Renee and Marita, in Sevilla.
First we wandered the streets and just poked around outside the cathedral. It was formerly a mosque, so there's a lot of the Muslim architecture left over to see, like this entrance.
The cathedral is one of the largest in the world.
Mr. EWP and I stopped to get ice cream. I remembered this place I went to 8 years ago and found it. I can't believe I remembered where it was and it was still there.
There were a bunch of book vendors in this one plaza, selling all sorts of old books. Their stands were cute and neatly organized. I like organization.

Torre de oro.
After our romantic ride around town, we met back up with our friends for a flamenco show.

La Giralda - the minaret from the mosque that used to be here, now the bell tower for the cathedral.

Then we went to the Alcazar, a former royal palace or gardens or something. I clearly was paying lots of attention. It had a lot of the same Muslim architecture we saw at the Alhambra.

Then we went into the cathedral. It was huge and beautiful. It was just so big!

The cathedral houses the tomb of Cristopher Columbus. Or Cristobal Colon as he's called around those parts.

Then we went to the cathedral's treasure room. Not sure what the church needed with this much treasure, but it sure was pretty to look at.

Then we wandered out of the cathedral to the former mosque courtyard. It had a pretty door.

Then we met back up with everyone and wandered the Plaze de EspaƱa.

We thought it was pretty and tried to take advantage of the fact we had other people around to take our picture, so we attempted to get a holiday card photo. They didn't really work out...

So we ended up using this one. It's more us anyway.

Then all of tried to get a shot in front of the Barcelona sign since we were all staying in an apartment together there next...

But there was no one around to take our picture and nowhere to set the camera for a timed shot, so this is what we ended up with.

Then we wandered some more gardens, but just wandering was getting old. We thought we'd do some off-roading with this 4 person bike thing. It wasn't meant for off-roading, but we did it anyway. And somehow survived.

Later the girls went shopping and I found the holy grail: a tights store. The store is entirely TIGHTS. That's all they sold. I was BEYOND EXCITED.
