Going Nude

The above pair of shoes may be my favorite pair of shoes ever. No, not just because they're Loubs, but because I've discovered that nude shoes are the BEST shoes to add to your shoe arsenal. They go with EVERYTHING. And I seriously mean everything. I wear these shoes all the time. It's getting a little out of hand. If you listen carefully you can hear my other shoes crying in my closet. They are very neglected. But I can't help it. A nude pump is so simple but adds so much. I've worn them with black, with navy, with brown, with pink, with yellow. The list goes on and on.

It soon became apparent that, even with the protective soles, I really needed to get another pair of nude shoes or my loubs would be worn to pieces. But, as small & mighty shopper knows, it's impossible to find cute nude heels. Any you find have stupid wooden heels. I'm not a fan of wooden heels. But I did eventually relent with the wooden heel thing as I found a pair of sandals that seemed casual enough for a wooden heel. But then they were $140. Yes, I've spent hundreds more than that on my loubs, but I'm not willing to spend $140 for Banana Republic shoes. That's just the way it works. Their shoes should never cost that much.

So I've diligently been waiting for them to go on sale as all BR merchandise does. Finally see online that the price dropped to $120. It's not much of a difference, but it's something, and I really need another pair of nude shoes. And apparently so did a lot of other people because they're not available in my size online. Or in any of the 3 BRs in dowtown Chicago. But I don't ever take no for an answer and kept calling. I would get them from Texas if I had to. Luckily, a place out in the 'burbs had them and was kind enough to ship them to me. And, what do you know? They were on sale for $50 at the store. How did that happen?

Banana Republic, was $140, Sale online $119.99, sale in store $52
