While it seems my constant "rain rain go away" chants have not been working. After the umpteenth day of rain, I thought it was time to discuss the only footwear I've had any need for: rain boots.
Some people seem surprised I don't have my 4 inchers stapled to my feet for my morning and evening commutes, but that is a level of shoe abuse that must be reported to Shoe and Heel Services. Putting that kind of mileage on my stilettos across salted or wet sidewalks is a major no no and would have me spending thousands more on shoes than I already do, just to get replacements. So, my commuting footwear takes a few forms: snow boots (winter), rain boots (fall and spring), ballet flats (the rest of the time).
Now, if I have to put something on my feet out of necessity, at least I can do my best to put my own EWP spin on it with fun colors and snazzy prints.
