Kate Winslet knew she had this award in the bag. She had won every other award she'd been nominated for all year. She had to have a clue. So why not bring out the big guns on a night that you can get away with the glammiest, most ball gowniest, most smashing of clothes available on the planet?
Kate Winslet looks beautiful. She always does. Her hair is very Grace Kelly and the overall look is understated glamor. She is rather stunning, but I think I'm more swayed by my general love for her and not this look. The dress's colors are kind of blah and I don't quite understand the one-sided mesh overlay. But I do so love her. Points for personality? And saying she practiced her Oscar speech to a shampoo bottle?
