Thieves!!

I am quite upset at the moment. While yesterday was a wonderful and historic day for America, some have taken this day of change and hope and made a day for theft and evilness.

Someone stole our Chicago Tribune! This is not the first time, either. Someone took our Trib the day when Obama was elected, but as we were in Aruba and it had been sitting there for days, I was willing to overlook it. The inaugural issue, however, was pilfered from our front step before 7AM! I doubt the thief really will be keeping it for the 50 years it takes for the issue to have any sort of actual value, which irks me all the more. And, if they wanted one so badly, maybe they should've actually subscribed to the Tribune like we do. We pay, therefore the issue is rightfully ours. And, as we are not keepers of newspapers, if they had merely left a note asking for it when we were done, I would've gladly delivered it to them. As you can tell, I'm quite incensed.

I filed a complaint with the doorman, who laughed at me and tried to give me his copy of the Chicago Tribune, but that was not the point. I did not want his issue, I wanted my issue. And I wanted justice to be carried out. I may have to look into close circuit cameras...
