My makeup counter wanderings brought me to my favoritest lip gloss ever: Chanel Glossimer
Chanel, $26
But this last weekend, my wedding makeup artist tried out a different lip gloss on me: Laura Mercier Lip Glace. This lip gloss also hit all the requirements.

Laura Mercier, $22
I don't know if I've been converted, but I did buy two: Bellini and Bare Beige, both great colors for everyday wear.
XOXO and happy lip gloss application.
UPDATE: Apparently I didn't impart enough information regarding my lip regime, so here's a little more for you.
For everyday I wear a gloss. I like a nice, moist shine to my lip and a bit of understated color. For a night time outing or an event, I'll put on a lipstick and then, because I find just a lipstick application makes my lips look dry and matte, I throw on a gloss over.
Here are my lipstick choices:

MAC, $14
I like a line that has lots of color choices, and I find MAC does the best job of having colors appropriate for a woman of color. I think whatever shade your skin, you can find a lipstick for you at MAC. Their lipglosses are rather clumpy, but their lipsticks go on smoothly. Plus for every 6 empty makeup containers you bring back to recycle, you get a free lipstick!

Chanel, $27
Chanel also has great colors, though it does cost a little more than the MAC. I do like the finish a lot on the Chanel and am more than happy to pony up the extra $13 to get a great lipstick that will stay all night.
As far as color recommendations, that is a matter of your skin tone plus the look you are going for (daytime, nighttime, goes with smokey eye, goes with nude eye, vamp red lip, etc.). Work with the woman at the makeup counter to find a great color just for you (and then get a second opinion).
